Dieser von Yorkshire Water in Zusammenarbeit mit Cobra Hydro UK Ltd. durchgef\u00fchrte Versuch f\u00fchrte zu einer vollst\u00e4ndigen Beseitigung von Kanalisationsverstopfungen, die durch Fette, \u00d6le und Schmierstoffe (VOCs) verursacht werden. <\/p>\n<p>Die Technik verwendet die umweltfreundlichen <strong>MicroCat-BioPOP Bio-Blocks<\/strong>, die sich langsam im Abwassersystem aufl\u00f6sen und dabei nat\u00fcrliche fettabbauende Mikroben und Enzyme freisetzen. Diese Mikroorganismen bauen Fette effizient ab, wodurch die Bildung von Verstopfungen und die Gefahr von <strong>Abwasser\u00fcberschwemmungen<\/strong> erheblich reduziert werden. Der Einsatz dieser Biotechnologie ist eine Premiere in gro\u00dfem Ma\u00dfstab in Gro\u00dfbritannien.  <\/p>\n<h3>Wie funktionieren die BioPOP Bio-Blocks?<\/h3>\n<p>Die Bio-Blocks werden direkt in den Abwasserkanal gestellt, wo sie kontinuierlich Mikroben dosieren, die Fette und \u00d6le abbauen. Dadurch wird verhindert, dass sich gek\u00fchlte Fette ansammeln und andere Materialien wie Lebensmittelabf\u00e4lle und Feuchtt\u00fccher zu so genannten &#8218;Fettbergen&#8216; zusammenklumpen. Solche Fettberge k\u00f6nnen zu schwerwiegenden <strong>Abwasserproblemen<\/strong> und im schlimmsten Fall zur Einleitung von verunreinigtem Wasser in die Stra\u00dfen oder in lokale Wasserl\u00e4ufe wie den Fluss Ouse f\u00fchren.  <\/p>\n<p>Seit der Installation der BioPOP Bio-Blocks im September 2023 gab es keine Berichte \u00fcber <strong>Kanalverschmutzung<\/strong> oder Fettverstopfung im Testgebiet. Die Bl\u00f6cke werden alle zwei Monate ausgetauscht, um eine konstante und effektive bakterielle Behandlung des Abwassernetzes zu gew\u00e4hrleisten. <\/p>\n<h3>Sensibilisierung und Zusammenarbeit mit dem Gastgewerbe<\/h3>\n<p>Neben der technischen L\u00f6sung arbeitete Yorkshire Water auch daran, das Bewusstsein in der lokalen Gastronomie zu sch\u00e4rfen. Gastgewerbebetriebe wurden aktiv angesprochen, um sie \u00fcber den verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Fett und die Wichtigkeit, Fett nicht in den Abfluss zu sp\u00fclen, aufzukl\u00e4ren. Dieser kombinierte Ansatz tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, fettbedingte Verstopfungen des Abwassernetzes strukturell zu reduzieren.  <\/p>\n<h3>Positive Ergebnisse und nationale Aufmerksamkeit<\/h3>\n<p>Kelly Burke, Netzschutzbeauftragte bei Yorkshire Water, sagte:<br \/>\n<em>&#8222;Der Versuch in York war sehr erfolgreich. Dank der BioPOP-Dosierbl\u00f6cke hatten wir im vergangenen Jahr nicht einen einzigen Vorfall von fettbedingten Verstopfungen oder Kanalisations\u00fcberl\u00e4ufen. Das zeigt, wie effektiv diese biologische L\u00f6sung ist.&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Auch Clint Jackson, Direktor f\u00fcr Gesch\u00e4ftsentwicklung bei Cobra Hydro UK Ltd, best\u00e4tigt die Auswirkungen:<br \/>\n<em>&#8222;Seit Beginn des Projekts im Jahr 2023 haben wir eine kosteneffiziente und nachhaltige L\u00f6sung gegen die Fettansammlung in den Abwasserkan\u00e4len von York gefunden. Die Ergebnisse sprechen f\u00fcr sich.&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Der innovative Ansatz von Yorkshire Water erhielt nationale Aufmerksamkeit. Am 11.
