MicroCat® products

QM Environmental International supplies a wide scale of grease-degrading microbial products under the name MicroCat®. MicroCat® -BioPOP

The MicroCat®-BioPOPs consist of a slowly dissolving carrier of a biodegradable biopolymer, in cylindrical form, containing 9 different strains of bacteria, at a high concentration, selected for their fat-degrading properties. The cylinder is contained in a durable porous net. They have been developed to prevent grease accumulation in a grease separator. They are placed and held in place with a rope or chain. The MicroCat®-BioPOPs contain environmentally friendly and safe naturally occurring microorganisms and their enzymes. The microorganisms are specially selected for their properties to break down (not just dissolve) fats and other organic contaminants found in kitchen wastewater.

The MicroCat®-BioPOPs are available in 6 different sizes so that an appropriate size is available for every system and wastewater flow rate.

MicroCat® -DNTRF

MicroCat®-DNTRF is a highly concentrated microbial powder containing natural grease-degrading bacteria. It is formulated for the biodegradation of fats and oils that accumulate in drainage systems and grease traps of hospitality establishments. MicroCat®-DNTRF also contains enzymes and additional synergistic ingredients for keeping drains, grease and sump drains and septic tanks clean and clear.

The MicroCat®-DNTRF powder is prepared in lukewarm water before dosing.

MicroCat®-GEL

MicroCat®-GEL is an effective standard biological drain cleaner designed specifically for drains in catering kitchens.

Through daily dosing – manually or via an automatic dosing pump – MicroCat®-GEL provide efficient grease breakdown. The bacteria convert fats into water and CO2 and form a protective biofilm on the inside of drain lines. This biofilm protects the bacteria from heat and disinfectants, keeping them active for a long time.

In addition, the biofilm helps continuously break down grease that adheres to the pipe wall. When the biofilm becomes too thick, parts detach and bacteria spread throughout the pipe, preventing grease build-up throughout the drainage system.

Biofilm development

MicroCat®-GEL is a regular grease breaking product. The product is packaged in a 20 liter jerry can. An average restaurant consumes 1 jerry can every 2 months.

MicroCat®-GEL-XP is a highly concentrated liquid so that very little product needs to be dosed per day. An average-sized restaurant will do 200 days with a 5 L jerry can.

QM-BactiFlow

Microbial Drain Unblocker
CLEAN AND ODOR-FREE PIPES, DURABLE

QM-BactoFlow cleans and maintains pipes and drains naturally with special microorganisms. These bacteria become active as soon as they come into contact with lukewarm water and efficiently break down organic dirt. The product removes unpleasant odors, dissolves blockages and prevents new deposits. This keeps the flow optimal and reduces wear and tear on pipes.

Dosage:

Clogged drains: 15 grams/meter of drain line

Maintenance of drains: 5 grams/meter of drain line (every 15 days)

MicroCat®-FL

MicroCat®-FL is a foaming liquid drain cleaner consisting of safe, naturally occurring bacteria and cleaners. The product was developed for cleaning and deodorizing floor drains in commercial kitchens to make them unattractive to insects that may develop there. MicroCat®-FL replaces ineffective, caustic chemical drain cleaners and does not damage the drain line. The product is easy to administer using a hand-held sprayer, and when applied regularly, the microbes in MicroCat®-FL will deeply clean the semi-porous wall of the drain. MicroCat-FL is not a pesticide but eliminates the habitat in which insects such as sewer flies can develop.
